Russell Kolins was contacted in 2018 by one of the nation’s leading trial lawyers for the defense to review the facts of a fatal head-on collusion in which the defendant driver had a 0.17 BAC at the time of the accident, minutes after leaving a private club from which he was a member and was cut off from being served alcoholic beverages. Mr. Kolins then conducted a deep dive analysis of those facts, which caused him to accept being retained. He authored a report based on all of the subsequent discovery materials, which facts were consistent with the initial analysis.
